Domestic Violence, It's In The Bag

**Trigger Warning** – Bree’s Story

**Trigger Warning**

‘Bree’ shared her story with us this week..

From a life that no child or woman deserves, she is now loved, cared for and happy just as she always should have been.

I’ve been following this page for a while now am always teary when reading about the misfortunes of others and how through the charity dignity is somewhat restored.

You see, I have endured a lifetime of abuse, first in my home as a child and then I married it. He was controlling, manipulative and emotionally abusive.

I can’t count how many times I used toilet paper as I had no tampons or went without a meal so that my children would eat for the night.

I scrimped and scraped because he gave me a budget which would only feed 2 people let alone a family of 4.

Anyways, I am in a much better place now with a wonderful partner who has lovingly picked up the pieces and is slowly putting me back together again.

Please tell me how I can get involved and help as I feel like donating isn’t nearly enough”.

Thank you Bree for sharing the dignity – we love that you are helping other women.

A woman just like Bree was when she was struggling in her darker days, may just be like the woman who receives your It’s in the Bag.

Please don’t overlook adding the basics such as shampoo and conditioner, roll on deodorant, pads or tampons, soap or body wash and a toothbrush and toothpaste to your bag.

To the woman who may be receiving your bag these are a luxury that they cannot afford.
